It is a template, a slot on the saw, sometimes a delivery, then an install — days apart, and rarely the same two people twice. Booking each one separately is how the shop loses track of the job.

One run, in the order that drives shortest

Give the day a home base and the route planner reorders the stops around it. Anything the customer has already been promised a time for stays where it is; the rest moves around it. You are shown the day as it stands, the day reordered, and the difference in minutes and miles before anything is applied — so it is a suggestion, not a rearranged calendar you have to undo. Stops need a job address to be routed. The finished run has a Google Maps link and a QR code the driver scans off the screen.

Five things it checks before the booking sticks

Double-booking a crew is rarely a planning failure. It is someone booking a Friday install without the other calendar open. Every time a booking is saved or dragged, it gets checked against everything those people already have on.

The two blocks can be overridden on purpose, because sometimes you do mean it. The difference is that you decide with the clash in front of you instead of finding it later.

What is countertop scheduling software?

It is what a fabrication shop uses to book the template, the fabrication slot and the install against the job they belong to, and to work out who is actually free to do each one. A countertop job is not one appointment. Will it stop us double-booking a crew?

Yes, for the two cases that are always mistakes. Put someone on two jobs at the same start time, or on two whose times overlap, and the booking will not save until you fix it or override it on purpose. Three more raise a warning instead of blocking, because they are sometimes the right call: not enough gap to drive from the last job to the next, a start before that person's usual start time, and a booking that lands on approved leave. The travel warning is specific rather than generic — it tells you the gap you have left and the drive time it worked out you need.

Can it plan the install route?

It reorders the day's stops around a home base to cut driving, and it leaves any appointment the customer has already been given a time for exactly where it is. Before anything changes you see the day as it stands, the day reordered, and the difference between them in minutes and miles, so applying it is your decision rather than the software's. Drive times come from Google's distance data where it can reach it, and fall back to a straight-line estimate where it cannot. Stops need a job address to be routed. The finished run has a Google Maps link and a QR code the driver can scan off the screen.

Which plan includes scheduling?

Pro and Enterprise. It is not on Standard. Pro is US$149 a month for the first user and US$39 for each one after that; Enterprise is US$249. Can customers confirm their own appointment?

Yes. The confirmation email carries confirm, decline and reschedule links on a secure one-off link, so the customer needs no login and no account. If they want to move it, the request arrives with the dates and times that suit them attached to it, rather than as a voicemail somebody has to chase. Confirmations, reminders, reschedules, cancellations and technician changes each have their own template, and you can rewrite the wording to sound like your shop.

Does it handle subcontractors and time off?

Subcontractors go on the schedule the same way employees do and get checked for the same conflicts. Time off is recorded per person, and anything booked over approved leave is flagged while you are saving it rather than found on the morning. Each person can also carry a usual start time, which is what the early-start warning measures against. When you ask for a suggestion on who should take a job, the shortlist is scored on how far they have to drive, how much of the day sits idle around the booking, and how much they are already carrying.
